XD-35 Thermoelectric Peltier Cooling Kit

Compact DIY Semiconductor Cooling Module for Small Spaces

The XD-35 Thermoelectric Peltier Cooling Kit is a ready-to-integrate cooling module designed for hobbyists, engineers, and makers working on custom small-space cooling projects. Powered by semiconductor thermoelectric technology, this module transfers heat from a cold side to a hot side — no refrigerants, no compressors, no moving parts in the Peltier plate itself.

Whether you're building a DIY mini cooler box, an electronics enclosure, or a laboratory demonstration setup, the XD-35 delivers reliable, compact cooling performance right out of the box.

Made in Mainland China.

What's Inside the Kit

The XD-35 is a pre-assembled cooling structure that includes everything needed to get started:

  • Thermoelectric Peltier plate
  • Aluminum heat sinks (hot side & cold side)
  • Dual cooling fans for active airflow
  • Protective metal fan guard
  • Red (positive) and black (negative) power wires
  • Thermal insulation layer

Key Features

🔵 Integrated, Pre-Assembled Structure

The module arrives pre-assembled, making it easy to drop into your custom build without needing to source and align individual components. Simply mount, wire, and power up.

🔵 Aluminum Heat Sinks for Efficient Heat Transfer

Large aluminum cooling fins maximize the heat-dissipation surface area, drawing heat away from the Peltier plate efficiently. Ensure the hot-side heat sink has sufficient ventilation at all times for optimal performance.

🔵 Dual-Fan Active Cooling

Fans are mounted on both sides of the module to promote consistent airflow through the heat sinks. The metal fan guard protects the blades from accidental contact during operation and installation.

🔵 Compact & Space-Saving Design

The slim, space-conscious form factor fits neatly into insulated boxes, small cabinets, instrument enclosures, and other tight installations where every millimeter counts.

🔵 Simple Power Connection

Pre-wired with color-coded red (+) and black (−) leads for straightforward DC power supply connection. Always confirm voltage, current rating, and polarity before powering on.

How Thermoelectric Cooling Works

The Peltier module uses the Peltier effect — when direct current flows through two dissimilar semiconductor materials, one side absorbs heat (cold side) while the other side releases it (hot side).

  • Cold Side: Absorbs heat from the enclosed space or object you want to cool.
  • Hot Side: Expels absorbed heat through the aluminum heat sink and fan to the outside environment.

For best results, mount the cold side inside the insulated space and keep the hot side outside with unobstructed airflow.

Recommended Applications

  • DIY mini cooler boxes and insulated containers
  • Electronic equipment cabinets and enclosures
  • Semiconductor cooling experiments
  • Laboratory and classroom demonstration projects
  • Custom temperature-control systems
  • Small instrument enclosures

Note: This module is designed for small-space cooling projects only — it is not intended to cool an entire room.

Installation Guide

  1. Identify the cold side and hot side before beginning installation.
  2. Orient the cold side toward the area requiring cooling.
  3. Position the hot-side heat sink outside the insulated space.
  4. Ensure both fans have adequate ventilation clearance.
  5. Connect the red (+) and black (−) wires with correct polarity.
  6. Use a compatible DC power supply with sufficient current output.
  7. Seal insulation around the installation opening to minimize cold-air loss.
  8. Test the module before completing the final build.

Tips for Better Cooling Performance

  • Use a well-insulated enclosure to retain cold air.
  • Reduce air gaps around the module installation area.
  • Keep the hot-side fan completely unobstructed at all times.
  • Never mount the hot-side heat sink inside the cooled space.
  • Use a stable, regulated DC power supply.
  • Minimize unnecessary heat sources inside the enclosure.
  • Consider pairing with a thermostat for automatic temperature regulation.

Actual cooling results depend on ambient temperature, enclosure size and insulation quality, heat load, airflow conditions, and power supply performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What voltage and current does the XD-35 Peltier cooling module require?

A: The XD-35 requires a DC power supply. The exact voltage and current specifications depend on the Peltier plate used in the module. Always check the product images or contact us before connecting a power source to ensure compatibility and avoid damaging the module.

Q: Can the XD-35 thermoelectric cooling kit cool a full-sized room or refrigerator?

A: No — the XD-35 is designed specifically for small insulated spaces and compact DIY cooling projects such as mini cooler boxes, small cabinets, or electronic enclosures. It is not capable of cooling large spaces or functioning as a full-sized refrigerator or air conditioner.

Q: Does condensation form on the cold side of the Peltier module during use?

A: Yes, condensation can form on the cold side during operation, especially in humid environments. It is important to protect any nearby electronic components from moisture and to ensure the module's installation area is properly sealed and insulated.

Q: Do I need any special tools or skills to install the XD-35 cooling module?

A: The XD-35 arrives pre-assembled, which simplifies the installation process. Basic electrical knowledge — including understanding DC polarity and power supply ratings — is recommended. The module requires custom installation into your project enclosure, so some DIY experience is helpful.
